"I know Jesus"
Can you say that? Do you want to
say that. When it all comes down, are you certain you are going to heaven.
We have to ask ourselves this question. Not only do we have to ask it
we have to answer it for ourselves.
"For
God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life."
John 3:16
Jesus answered "I am the way the truth and
the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really
knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know
him and have seen him."
John 14:6
If
you have found yourself in a place of decision, understanding that God
loved you enough to send His Son to die for you but also realizing that
you have never surrendered to that love and asked Jesus to be your savior,
pray this simple prayer:
Dear
Lord Jesus, I understand that I am a sinner, and now more that ever
before I realize that I need You. I believe that You are God's one and
only Son. I believe that You came to earth and walked as a man. I believe
that You died on the cross to pay the price for my sins. And I believe
that You rose again. Now Lord Jesus, with that faith, I confess my sins
to You and ask You to forgive me. I believe in You, Jesus, so I ask
you to come into my heart, wash me white as snow, and save me. I confess
that, from this day forward, You will be my Lord and I will live for
You. For once and for all ... I surrender. In your name I pray, Jesus.
Amen.
Now, write this date down somewhere. Write it down in your Bible if you have one. This is your spiritual birthday. and you want to be able to look back on this day to say, "This is the day that I gave my heart to Jesus." Also call a Christian friend and tell them that you just prayed this prayer and ask them to pray for you. God Bless.
